National Park 4 Days / 3 Nights
AIRCRAFT DEPARTURES SATURDAYS AND TUESDAYS
We will get on a bi-motor aircraft towards Boca Manu. During the trip we will see the Eastern Andes mountains. After we arrive, we will take a boat to Boca Manu village and later to a camp inside the Reserved Zone. We will stop in Limonal, a check point. During the afternoon we will arrive to a camp near the El Salvador lagoon where we will spend 2 nights.
We will start the day very early to begin a walk of approximately 3 to 4 hours along the Manu River until we get to Otorongo lagoon. Here we will climb onto a watching tower located 15 meters up. From this place we will be able to observe the monkeys while they feed themselves, birds, and many species of flowers and colorful butterflies. In the afternoon we will visit the surrounding areas near the lagoon and then we will silently sail the laggon in a catamaran to watch the different species that live in this ecosystem.
The next morning we will walk for some time until we listen to the bird choir, then we will go down on a boat towards Boca Manu to visit the Matchiguengas native ethnic village. We will try to participate in their daily activities.
The last day we will go to Boca Manu aerodrome to begin our return trip to Cuzco.
