Manu Andes 4 Days / 3 Nights

We leave Cuzco very early in the morning. During the first day we go to the cloud forest passing by several inter-Andean valleys, local communities and beautiful towns. We will also go over the Acjanacu pass (3850 meters above sea level) where we will go down towards Manu, going through different ecological zones. Before dusk, we will arrive to a special place where we will be able to see the cock of the rocks acting as part of its mating ritual (to get the attention of the female ones). We will continue our bus trip towards the town of Pilcopata where we will spend the night.

After breakfast we will continue our journey yo the native community of Huacharía which belongs to the Huachipaire ethnic group. We will experience in-site tourism. In the afternoon we will walk a little bit more inside the community town and will finish the day with a refreshing shower in the waterfalls. We will then return to Pilcopata for dinner.

The third day we will continue in the bus towards the town of Atalaya where we will board a boat to Buena Vista. During the trip we will be able to observe some monkeys and birds. Once in Buena Vista we will walk along the paths to see more types of monkeys. In the afternoon we will visit a cocha (lagoon) and will board a catamarán so we can see the big white caiman (alligator). After dinner we will do a night walk to listen to the Musmuqui, the only night primate in the world.

g our last day, we will have the chance to visit the parrot and parakeet collpa (mineral deposit) and later we will start our return trip to Cuzco.
