The most visited places in Peru are the cities of Lima and its historic center (as a point of entry into the country) and Cusco, where its main attractions are the Sacred Valley and the archaeological site of Machu Picchu, as well as their Inca and colonial architecture.

The country's main tourist circuit is the southern circuit, which includes cities like Cuzco, Arequipa and Puno, with great attractions architectural, cultural and natural. This circuit has ido expanding into the jungle region of Madre de Dios, where the Manu National Park is an inescapable point of ecotourism.
